Howard M. Felson

Howard is Vice President & Counsel at Brown Brothers Harriman & Co, where he provides legal and business counsel to the country’s oldest and largest partnership bank. Howard began his legal career in the corporate securities group of the firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett and later practiced in the Private Equity & Venture Capital Group at Weil, Gotshal & Manges. Before practicing law, Howard spent two years as an analyst at Morgan Stanley Japan, where he analyzed proprietary risk and trading profits/losses for traders of Japanese securities. In the last several years, Howard has volunteered hundreds of hours to NY-based non-profits, offering guidance in financing, operations and legal matters. Howard holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan Business School and a JD/LL.M from Duke Law School, where he was a member and a publishing author of the Duke Law Journal.
